F1 2011 comes back with a vengeance and all the official drivers, teams and circuits in the 2011 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP including the latest rule changes and it is everything you could want in an F1 game.
While multiplayer was included in last year’s version of the game, it’s been super-powered this time round. Online multiplayer? Sure. But what about local split screen racing? Yes, for the first time ever in HD F1 gaming history. Plus a new co-op mode.
Full grid, online racing is also achievable with 16 players and and up to 8 AI racers to give the full experience. On top of all that, there are two new tracks, more intense Be the Driver, new drivers, and tires.
But you’re not here to listen to a list of the new features like DRS and KERS, and day and night racing, you’re here to find out if it’s all it could be. So sit down, strap in and let’s get up to speed.
F1 2011 offers four preset levels of difficulty from easy to pro and the ability to customize on the fly. So for those less experienced racers, if you still want some guidance in the corners at a particular circuit, no worries, you can do that. You can also toggle things like braking assist, ABS, traction control, etc.
This is great because, obviously, each gamer is different, some want simulation to the point of realism while others want a more arcade-style of racing with foot to the floor action. In essence, there is something for everyone here and that means the game can appeal to the most novice of F1 fans as well as the most skilled.
Granted, F1 is known more for technical racing than it is for anything else and the lower the level of difficulty the less you have to worry about it all. But it’s still a fun experience at the lowest setting for some.
