iPad Gets Games, Still Won’t Revolutionize World

The ridiculous hype over the iPad, really just a larger iPhone without calling capabilities, continues with what will probably be a rash (the kind that turns red and itchy) of releases for it. I suppose the word rash there could also mean - "marked by or proceeding from undue haste or lack of deliberation or caution -Merriam Webster"

Honestly, the device has a lower pixel per inch density than they iPhone and will allow iPhone apps to run in 200% the screen size. that just means games with poor graphics to me.

Mobile and Smartphone Developer HeroCraft today announced that ’Majesty’, licensed by Paradox Interactive, will be their first iPad game release running in the full iPad resolution. The popular PC strategy title will be available on Java, Android and BlackBerry handsets first and follow on Apple’s new flagship product soon after.

“We’re impressed by the new Apple tablet device” said Alexey Sazonov, Sales and Marketing Director at HeroCraft, “we believe it will provide the ideal platform for gaming, filling the gap between traditional desktop and mobile phone devices. Coming from a strong PC background ’Majesty’ will work tremendously well on a high resolution portable device like the iPad.”

I don’t really know what there is to be impressed about personally. It’s not going to ’revolutionize the world’ as some journalists claim and it’s really just an iPhone too big to put in your pocket and unable to make phone calls. Personally, I’ve dubbed it the iFad.
