Rising Star Games today confirms that the highly anticipated sequel No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle will be released throughout Europe on 28th May, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii.

Travis Touchdown, the pro-wrestling-obsessed assassin, returns three years after he first became the top assassin in the United Assassins Association (UAA) and walked away. Fighting to avenge the brutal murder of his best friend, Travis must rise through the ranks of an incredible 51 assassins to once again make it the top of the UAA league table.

But it won’t be easy as there are more deadly bosses than ever before. To prepare gamers with the tools to make it a fair fight, there are a total of six different weapons in the game - including a highly covetable dual-beam katana - along with 13 unique wrestling moves to master as well as exhilarating Tiger metamorphosis.

To further expand gameplay, there are two new playable characters: Henry, Travis’s twin brother who was once married to Sylvia Christel; and Shinobu Jacobs, Travis’s protege whose signature move is the Sonic Sword.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle also includes 8-bit arcade-style addictive mini-games that crop up in Travis’s side jobs, providing opportunities to earn money for different items, such as weapons and clothing. And, to allow gamers to focus 100% on the action, the game also features a brand new and easy-to-navigate 2D map so they can jump straight into battles.

Developed by Goichi ’Suda51’ Suda’s studio, Grasshopper Manufacture, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is the only sequel the team has ever worked on, and Suda51 has famously named it the No More Heroes game he originally wanted to make.

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle launches on 28th May exclusively on the Nintendo Wii.
