Peavey, one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of musical instruments and professional sound equipment, is bringing their music expertise to the gaming world by announcing a strategic partnership with Zivix, the innovative software developer whose core mission is to develop new methods for musical interaction and rewarding gaming experiences. The two are introducing the Peavey HeroMaker Guitar/Controller, a revolutionary full-sized six-string electric guitar and software controller, and the newly developed Jam Party: Be the Music software.

With Jam Party software, burgeoning musicians can become instant producers, mix-masters, and lead guitarists all rolled into one. It’s a virtual sandbox for music lovers to play, create and share their very own tunes with a gigantic library of chords, beats, vocals, and soundscapes. It’s simple to play, yet challenging and endless to master, it offers an immersive musical experience for all ages and skill levels. Jam Party is the life of the party or a way to share musical expression as MP3s to upload to listening devices and social networks.

The guitar controller and software usher in a new generation of Guitar Hero and Rock Band users, who will be able to transition their mastery of the traditional rhythm based music games into an actual live player controlled musical journey through pick-up & play music creation combining both music and gaming like never before. Players can use either their existing USB supported guitar controllers for Jam Party, computer keyboard, mouse or the new full-sized HeroMaker guitar.
Peavey will distribute the full boxed version of Jam Party, which will be released  this fall at all major retailers., and the major casual gaming digital networks will be releasing a lighter digital version in June which will feature a 60 minute free trial. The guitar controller will be available early 2011.
