Frontline Studios Acquired by Nicolas Games

NICOLAS GAMES S.A., Polish game developer and publisher today announced that it has completed the acquisition of FRONTLINE Studios. FRONTLINE Studios founding team is composed of business leaders with over 30 years of collective experience in the video game industry, having produced or overseen franchises including the Duke Nukem Trilogy, M&M’s Brands, American Greetings, as well as several multi-platform titles such as the upcoming title, ARENA MORTE.

The acquisition will join together two of the fastest growing, most experienced videogame developers in Poland, bringing the best of FRONTLINE Studios’ talent and innovation under the financial strength and stability of a publicly traded company, NICOLAS GAMES.

FRONTLINE Studios will continue to self-publishing its titles through its Digital Distribution models, and the studio will remain focused on its contracted development and publishing partnerships for its current and upcoming projects. In addition to contracted projects FRONTLINE has established distribution networks spanning all major gaming platforms, including the Sony Playstation Network (PSP, PS3), Xbox Live Arcade, Nintendo DSiWare, WiiWare, OnLive, Game Streamer, Facebook, Apple iTunes (Mac, iPhone & iPad), Real Networks, Google Android, and Intel’s AppUp.

Marcin Michel, CEO of FRONTLINE Studios, commented on the transaction: "This is a great opportunity for us to concentrate on what we do best, making games. FRONTLINE will continue to operate as a 3rd party studio and no changes will be made in the operations of the company as well as the development of its games. All the principals at FRONTLINE have made long-term commitments to NICOLAS, assuring they will continue in their roles developing top-tier games at the studio.
