Considering that Post Apocalyptic Mayhem got a 6.0/10 in the recent GDN review (by Jay Pyles), it’s good to see that they’ve continued to develop content for the game to help grow it and the community. The new content is freely downloadable on Steam and includes three new vehicles, a new death-defying figure eight track all playable online and offline.post apocalyptic mayhem

The following new elements are all part of Meridian4 and developer Steel Monkeys’ first DLC offering for Post Apocalyptic Mayhem:

New Vehicles

Nucloid – based on an electric “smart” car with an ironic twist, the Nucloid prefers to draw its power from a nuclear reactor under the hood, rather than the standard electric charging station found at the homes of environmentalists;

The Veteran – assembled from parts found in various military scrap yards, The Veteran is a veritable road map of mechanical military history;

Kitty with Claws – don’t be fooled by her cutesy charms; those teddy bears explode and that perfume is the sweet smell of death;

New Track -

Death Area 8 – an insane figure eight track set in an old decrepit Oil Refinery, littered with metal parts, steel drums and huge flumes of smoke and flames, Death Area 8 is designed with more funnel areas to increase the destruction and mayhem.

In Post Apocalyptic Mayhem, over-the-top vehicular combat rules the day as player’s race and battle through breathtaking tracks.  With an assortment of menacing vehicles to drive – each with its own special abilities, attributes and weaponry – the game quickly reaches breakneck speeds and complete destruction of the competition.  Up to six players can race simultaneously online as they compete to earn up to 35+ Achievements.
