The heat is playing tricks on us here and we don’t know what day it is. So here is what might be two days of Steam releases. Just so long as you’ve got the info, we’re happy.new on steam today

 

Altitude - Free Weekend and 50% off

  • Reverse Thrust - reduced energy consumption from 110% recharge rate to 83% recharge rate (planes now recover energy while reversing)
  • Rubberized Hull - reduced energy loss and turning debuff from EMP by 20%
  • Biplane (All Forms) - reduced energy loss and turning debuff from EMP by 20%
  • Biplane (Recoilless) - afterburner effectiveness increased by 14%
  • Biplane (Recoilless) - secondary weapon energy usage reduced by 2%
  • Biplane (Dogfighter) - afterburner effectiveness for stall breaking significantly increased [effectiveness drops linearly from +60% at slow speeds to +0% near cruise speed]
  • Biplane (Dogfighter) - secondary weapon energy usage reduced by 2%
  • Biplane (Heavy Cannon) - primary weapon added piercing third hit (100%, 75%, 45%)
  • Biplane (Heavy Cannon) - secondary weapon energy usage reduced by 10%
  • Miranda (Trickster) - primary weapon (fully charged shot only) reduced damage lost on bounces by 15% (122/98/74 -> 122/102/81)
  • Miranda (Time Anchor) - (only when carrying big bomb or ball) anchor energy usage increased by 25%

Interface:

  • Added Map, Time (round duration), and Next Map to award screen
  • Added "Bomb Camera" spectate option to TBD mode -- press C to toggle Free/Chase/Bomb spectate modes
  • Added "Chase Specific Player" spectate option -- you can lock the camera to a single player via the score screen (hold TAB to show scores, right click player, choose ’Spectate...’)
  • Added "[Warning] You have been idle for 4 minutes." message (with beep) to help spectators avoid idle kicks
  • Increased the visibility of the Mouse crosshair and the Keyboard+Mouse orientation cone
  • New title screen background
  • Replaced welcome screen buttons with changelog
  • Friend list: increased visibility of current server and last online time; added buttons for "Join Server" and "Message"; increased max friend count to 200
  • Friend chat windows (Menu -> Friends) no longer consume the escape key allowing easy toggling between gameplay and chat
  • If a tournament is in progress, the score screen (TAB) will render the names of participants that are currently spectating with the color of the team they are assigned to
  • If a tournament is started with even teams and teams become uneven at any point during the tournament a red warning will appear in the top right (Teams: X vs Y)
  • Spectators can now visually determine which team an acid cloud belongs to (left team’s acid is light green, right team’s acid is dark green)
  • Hangar Deck -> Stats has a new row, "Total"

Brink Updated

Updates to Bullet Candy have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Bullet Candy

  • Fixed a bug that could cause enemies to behave ‘strangely’ at high resolutions
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the game to run extremely slowly at high resolutions. It still looks best at 800x600 though

Team Fortress 2 Update Released

The Witcher 2 Update Released

Dawn of War II: Retribution Update Released

Updates to Dawn of War II: Retribution have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Updates

  • Reverted lictor stealth change
  • Ork Slugga Burna melee damage lowered from 50 to 25
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Ulthwe Farseer to revert to the default Farseer after equipping the and then un-equipping the Ghosthelm
  • Librarian’s Smite will no longer refund energy when it is interrupted

Dungeons of Dredmor Updated

  • Fixed: crash that occurred when moving up stairs or down stairs, involving summoned pets

  • Fixed: shopkeepers doing odd things when picking up and dropping items after load/save, including crashing.

  • Fixed: crash when using invalid missile sprites, which probably never happens, but oh well.

  • Fixed: crash that just sort of happened randomly to a bunch of people, but it’s fixed now.

  • Fixed: merchandise flag not cleared when you go downstairs

  • Fixed: backwards conditional logic on ranged monster attacks means that monsters were not consistently casting spells; fixing this makes the Dungeon 95.2% nastier.

  • Fixed: Current Active Skill crossing over between new games

  • Fixed: small sconce appearing where a small sconce should not appear in the bath level

  • Fixed: knightly leap now operates in all correct chess positions.

  • Fixed: shops spilling out of their rooms.

  • Fixed: broken berserk description.

  • Fixed: negative resistances meant that a monster would always damage you for that amount

  • Fixed: ranged weapon resistances were operating using percentages, not flat values

  • Fixed: perception skill should not promise that you can see through walls when, in fact, it will not let you see through walls.

  • Fixed: doors with wrong orientation connecting rooms.

  • Fixed: Anvils of Krong spawning in hallways for no good reason

  • Fixed: crash when killing Brax and then going back to loot the store.

  • Fixed: auto-fill eats items if you have multiples.

  • Fixed: BBQs/minifridges now maintain state across saved games.

  • Fixed: Staff of fruit stops producing fruit after you use it on an Anvil of Krong.

  • Fixed: contents of Monster Zoo are still visible even after closing a door.

  • Fixed: Dread Collectors (and probably some other stuff) spawning in walls.

  • Tweaked values of Berserk skill.

  • Tweaked "Duck and Cover" armour values.

  • Tweaked Perception to be more useful.

  • Nerfed "Obvious Fireball." Obviously.

  • Reduced Dread Collector Spawn Rate a notch.

  • Ammo recovery rates for thrown weaponry and crossbow bolts now much higher.

  • A lot more filthy, awful tweaking.

  • Permadeath now deletes your save game files on your death, as opposed to when you load the game.

  • Added, and clarified, the warning text on the "Just Quit" button.

  • Added toggle that reverses behaviour of CLICK and SHIFT-CLICK on items.

  • Added the Auto-Looter 9000, by BraxCo.

  • Added yet more warning text to the "Just Quit" button.

  • Added automatic save support; the game will now automatically save before going up and down stairs. (Note: your autosave will be deleted if you die in the case of permadeath; the auto-save is also only accessible if Crash Recovery Mode is active.)

  • Added support for total music disabling (via Steam parameter "-nomusic".)

  • Added fifty-three new achievements.

  • Added some new crafting stuff.

  • Added steak grilling.

  • Added interface for key configuration.

  • Added a Quick Sell interface for rapidly selling your loot to Brax.

  • Added a credit for freesound.org (Thanks!)

  • Rewrote the save game format so we can add items without breaking everything.

  • Steam Overlay now works; run the game with "-opengl" as a parameter in the Steam Advanced settings to try this. (This is experimental.)

  • WASD can now open doors and attack monsters. This is a toggleable behaviour.

  • Smooth scaling is now saved between playthroughs.

  • Added an XML based, human-readable configuration file to hold all the new options.

  • Fun with Aqua Vitae.
