Just a friendly reminder that no game company would ever ask you to send your account password through email or any other medium. There is currently an email circulating that looks something like this:diablo III battle.net scam

We’re gearing up for the forthcoming launch of Diablo III and would like to extend you an invitation to participate in the beta test. If you are interested in participating, you need to have a Battle.net account, which you can create on our Battle.net website.

We will flag you for access to the Diablo III beta test when we begin admitting press. You do not need to go through the opt-in process.

To secure your place among the first of Sanctuary’s heroes,Please use the following template below to verify your account and information via email.

While it states that it comes from noreply@blizzard.com, the reply to address is diablo3@d3-blizzard.com. Doing a quick search on that domain gives the following information:

So, unless you want to lose your Battle.net account to someone, don’t send them anything. We know that sometimes the excitement of the possibility of getting into a beta, especially for a game like DIablo III, can get the better of some people, so it’s just a friendly warning.
