The Crew, the new Xbox One/PlayStation 4/PC racing game powered by Ubisoft, is announced to be launched this fall. The new game is said to support microtransactions, which is an option also provided in other racing games.

The multitransaction function is included to make it possible for the players to buy new performance parts. The option is developed to give you the opportunity to buy new performance parts before they have been unlocked in the game. This option is expected to be really useful for players who want to save time.

Ubisoft confirmed that performance parts are also unlocked through progression. However, the new feature can be used by those who do not have enough time.

There are also other games which have microtransactions, such as Microsoft's Xbox One racing game Forza Motorsport 5 and Sony's Gran Turismo 6 for PlayStation 3. The creative director Julian Gerighty commented that The Crew will run in native 1080p at 30fps for Xbox One and PS4.

There are two available versions in which The Crew can be preordered – these are the Limited Edition and the Muscle Edition. The first one provides access to the cars Mini Cooper S, Dodge Ram SRT-10 and BMW Z4 sDrive35is. In addition, the Muscle Edition offers access to 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The price of the standard version of this game is $60, but the price of the Limited and Muscle Editions is still unknown.
