Lords of the Fallen having some troubles achieving 1080p for Xbox One

It is yet uncertain what resolution and frame rate the next-gen RPG Lords of the Fallen will have. Its developer has disclosed that it is having a "slightly tougher" time achieving a 1080p resolution on Xbox One than on PlayStation 4.

Tomasz Gop, CI Games executive producer, has said that they are still deciding whether to have a better frame rate in exchange for a lower resolution or have the game in full HD and sacrifice some frames per second. The company is quite sure that they will manage to achieve at least 30fps at 1080p, but they are debating whether that would be sufficient.

Still, the developers are leaning towards going for full HD at 30fps rather than having 60fps at any lower resolution. They are pretty proud of the visuals of the games and want show them off as much as possible.

"We’re working very hard right now to deliver PS4 and Xbox One in 1080p but I can’t confirm whether it’s possible. It’s probably easier for me to confirm it’ll happen for PlayStation 4, because it appears on this one we’re almost nailing it and pretty much there. For Xbox One though, it’s slightly tougher and we’re still working on it, so I can’t confirm that yet," Tomasz Gop told IGN.

Tomasz Gop is famous for being producer on the Witcher. His new game, Lords of the Fallen, was announced last year. It has been labeled as a blend of Borderlands and Dark Souls. This means that games can expect to have a tough challenge ahead of them.
