With the upcoming start of the NFL season and the release of Madden 15, Microsoft decided to make all Xbox and Windows 8 users happy by letting them watch real football on their platforms. Hence, the announcement for the official release of the NFL app followed, which fans will hopefully appreciate as the app promises to make their way of watching American football much more immersive and interactive.

The NFL application offers users different attractions thanks to Microsoft's Snap feature. These include in-game video highlights, live stats, and fantasy scoring. Users who have already acquired NFL Sunday Ticket Max from DirecTV will now be able to watch any game straight through the app. As for Microsoft, they claim that using the HDMI port on their Xbox One, fans can watch every live game even through their satellite/cable provider and their app will be pushed to one side of their screen.

Microsoft has informed that the application is now attached to NFL.com and CBS Sports.com fantasy leagues, which will allow users to keep tabs on their teams with Xbox One no matter where they play from. With the NFL app it is much easier to track the player performances and fantasy teams in real time. The fan-friendly user interface of the application and its real-time scoring updates make this possible. Additionally, Microsoft mentions that the users who take part in ESPN Fantasy Football are able to track their leagues thanks to the ESPN app for Xbox One.

Xbox One users are also enabled to track their NFL Fantasy leagues through the new Snap mode. They can do that even while watching a movie or playing a game because they can bring the application in the side of the screen at any time. This means that users will not have to leave the game they are playing or the movie they are watching to check a result or scroll through the newsfeed. One can also find a NFL now section on the app, which contains the largest digital library of NFL content, including stuff from NFL teams, NFL Network and NFL films archive. Users can now enjoy the NFL app on their Xbox One or Windows 8 as it is available for download.
