Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be released this November. It will come with updated versions of Halo1-4, but this does not apply to Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach. This is why Xbox One players of these titles still wonder if a release will also be available for these versions. About that, 343 Industries commented that this is possible.

Executive producer Dan Ayoub said in an interview with VideoGamer: "What I can tell you is probably the biggest question we get from people is, what about ODST and Reach? What I can say is it's certainly not in our development timeline or planning right now we've heard that question so much that it has seeped into our collective subconscious."

As an explanation why these parts of the series were not a part of the update, the company explained that they do not feature Master Chief. Also, the developers are working on reducing needed disc space.

The Master Chief Collection arrives on November 11. It is expected with 4 remastered games and an activation key to Halo 5: Guardians beta.
