World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King release date confirmed

Blizzard has announced today that the World of Warcrsft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, will receive a simultaneous (almost) worldwide release date. Confirmed for launch on November 13th in the US, Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Russia, time differences mean the game will arrive the next day on the 14th November in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. This will be followed on the 18th November for the remaining regions of Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

All great news, except for the Chinese online gamer, who’s yet to receive any kind of release date. One of the world’s largest online communities with people so dedicated to the game they’ve gone as far as real life murder due to in-game events, this has to be something of a kick in the shins for the Olympic hosts.

Stick with GDN for more Lich King news and reviews as it happens (we’ve got our beady eye on the beta already, so don’t go far. Especially to China).
