LittleBigPlanet Gets New Release Date

1 Comment 20 Views

After the gods descended on Sony’s vital PS3 exclusive, LittleBigPlanet, and delayed the release due to passages from the Quran being just about audible in one of the game’s music tracks, it looks as though things are finally getting back on track. A new release date has been announced by Sony, and UK, Europe, the Middle East (assuming they still want it), Australia and New Zealand can expect to see the game rolling out no later than Monday 3rd November, while the US is said to receive the game "no later than the week commencing 27th October".

As always, calling attention to a game by trying to stop it has caused eBay sales to go through the roof. While the Muslim community might have taken offence to the music track, they’ve helped the original pressing of LitteBigPlanet to become one of the most expensive games to hit the auction site this year - a trend that’s only going to increase as time goes on. Currently, original releases of LittleBigPlanet are fetching in the realm of £130 and upwards.

Whether this will affect sales of the remastered version, we’ll have to wait and see. Keep a keen eye on GDN for more LittleBigPlanet news as it lands.
