Asus Notebooks Step It Up with NVIDIA GPUs

ASUS has introduced two notebooks to compete with other gaming laptops. The new ASUS G71 and G50 are the latest entry for ASUS into the ever competitive gaming laptop. Both systems are powered by the NVIDIA GeoForce 9700M GT graphic processing unit (GPU).

The ASUS G71 laptop, designed for the high-end notebook gaming, has a 17-inch screen and is configurable with up to 4 GB of SDRAM, up to a terabyte of storage space and and a range of  Intel Core2 and Quad Core CPus.

The ASUS G50 combines the 32 core GeForce 9700M GT GPU with a mainstream Intel CPU to provide an optimized gaming notebook with a price to performance ratio, delivering value to the consumer. The G50 machine features a 15.4 or 15.6-inch screen, a weight of only 6.2 lbs. for true portability, and an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU.  The G50 notebook is available now starting at US $1,249 at Best Buy.

The ASUS G71 and G50 notebooks are now available. Software drivers which support NVIDIA PhysX and CUDA technologies will be made available for download free of charge in the coming months.
