I came home today to a message from the drug dealers at SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) that basically attempted to lure me into their grimy mitts with talk of free games and fun. It sounds too good to be true and perhaps the price would be too high. I value my immortal soul too much perhaps, if I even have one anymore. I think I need to go read the fine print on that last thing I signed.

They did attempt to entice me with the formula for their new and improved mind-stealing drug Everquest II: Echoes of Faydwer and its release party:

On Saturday, November 25 participating iGames centers will hold a premiere party for Echoes of Faydwer with free food and drinks for all comers, free game play and a free trial of the expansion. Don’t miss your chance to acquire an exclusive in-game item for all iGames participants: The Greatstaff of the Sun Serpent awaits you, its new master. A golden serpent, winged and silent. Its ruby-inset eyes are mesmerizing, beckoning your foes to come closer...closer...within striking distance. Victory is within your grasp.

If you can’t make the premiere, try out Echoes of Faydwer for free between November 12 and December 10 at participating game centers, who are offering a free 30-day trial subscription and one hour of free play time on their high-end gaming stations. Bring your friends and get them addicted, too!

The EverQuest II Echoes of Faydwer, introduces a new playable race, The Fae, an enchanted race of winged creatures. The Fae dwell on the continent of Faydwer, in the arboreal city of Kelethin, the new starting city being added to new chapter in the EQII saga. Echoes of Faydwer includes over 350 new quests, a new selection of profession hats, cloaks, armor, and new horse mounts available to players of all levels. EQII players will encounter over 40 new types of creatures to face, more than 20 new zones and adventure areas, and will be able to compete against other players for new PvP (Player vs. Player) rewards, plus all-new items, equipment, spells and tradeskill recipes.

IF you lost your pre-loaded hypodermic you can get a new one at the Everquest II site on Station.
