THQ recently told GamesIndustry.biz that they will, in the future, not plan on releasing all games on all platforms and stated that "the Wii offers unique opportunities to exploit the licences THQ has picked up from Pixar, Nickelodeon and WWE."

Wow, that's quite a turn around it seems. Brian Farrell, CEO of THQ, sees a split in the market between the "core gamers" who own a 360 or a PS3 and the "mass market" of Wii owners.

I don't really know how I feel about that as I consider myself a core gamer even though I don't own a 360 or PS3 here in Europe due to the prohibitive price tags on them. Is he saying we're the norm and the owners of the other systems are the strange?

He does say that perhaps those consoles [360 & PS3] may become a niche market due to the high-cost, high-risk factor of making the games for the systems and it almost sounds like he says making a game for the Wii is a sure thing.
