Here are a few things to read while you have that Sunday morning coffee and prepare for another day of NFL football or weekend relaxation. Hot ham & rolls were a tradition with my grandmother and sometimes my father on Sunday mornings and now I bring the tradition to you.

This week will be a big one as I have been out of touch with reality in a place where the internet is almost non-existent. So you had better have a big plate ready for this order. Plus I am trying to make the layout static but the content dynamic. I sure hope it works.

I'm still hoping these guys get their things together and have a successful holiday and beyond. So check out these videos I found. They showcase some of the current and upcoming games from the company.

Ace Combat 6 Fires of Liberation

Meanwhile over at the home of the Azure Speedster things are taking on a shade of Green. Along with the upcoming The Incredible Hulk Film set for June 2008, SEGA is releasing The Incredible Hulk, an intensely realistic third person action video game which will be available on multiple video game platforms.

The fury-fuelled video game will feature key moments from the film, as well as additional plotlines and characters from The Incredible Hulk universe. Players will crash through New York City, battling gigantic enemies amidst soaring skyscrapers in a massive open world.

Calling upon the marketing power of the special edition, Capcom is hoping to cash in once again and pocket a little extra bank on the Devil May Cry series with DMC4: Collector's Edition. The $79.99 version will be available
February 5, 2008, for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360. But is it worth it? As it's NFL Sunday, You Make the Call!

Devil May Cry 4 Collector’s Edition contains the following extras:

How to un-piss off Anime Fans Who Game.

Take one of the most popular anime shows of late. Turn it into a video game then deny fans the original voices. Yes, that would piss them off. Then realize the major faux pas you have made and cough up the real goods in a downloadable content pack. Well that will probably quiet the angry mob. This is exactly what has happened with Ubisoft and Naruto: Rise of a Ninja and the lack of Japanese voice-acting in it.

This week they announced that  a Japanese
voice track for the game featuring the official voice actors for the
anime will be available as a downloadable addition to the game via Xbox
Live soon. Now before you get out the torches and the pitchforks again, the DLC will be totally free.

The list of
actors (and their roles) includes:

  • Junko Takeuchi - Uzumaki Naruto
  • Kazuhiko Inoue - Hatake Kakashi
  • Chie Nakamura - Haruno Sakura
  • Noriaki Sugiyama - Uchiha Sasuke
  • Kujira - Orochimaru
  • Akira Ishida - Sabaku no Gaara

Speaking of the DLC love connection

We all love the fact that we can download extra content for our games now which gives them far more replayability than in the past and makes them worth investing a lot of money in. So not to be outdone there's also a list floating about for the DLC for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. The XBLA leaderboards showed some songs that we don't have. So they must be forthcoming DLC right? Right!

So far we know this:

  • All My Life (Foo Fighters)
  • The Pretender (Foo Fighters)
  • This is a call (Foo Fighters)
  • Slither (Velvet Revolver)
  • She Builds Quick Machines (Velvet Revolver)
  • Messages (Velvet Revolver)
  • Tom Morello Guitar Battle
  • Slash Guitar Battle
  • The Devil Went Down to Georgia

Some are probably going to be DLC packs like the Rock Band packs others might be bonus tracks for making it past the bosses and such. We'll see soon enough.

The Mexican Standoff of the Format War

Sony CEO Howard Stringer says they have developed a 'stalemate' in the hi-cap disc format war. But of course we all know that Sony is generally full of crap and that their marketing line is always to deny whatever they want us to know. So by admitting something I think what they really mean is "Oh crap, we're not doing so well in this format war are we?" He went on to say things like the price-cut doubled PS3 sales (2 x 0 = 0 still) and the PS3 is the #1 selling console in Europe which I really have a hard time swallowing. I will have to do some research on that one. Personally I think all this 2 standard format stuff is total shit. You can't call it a standard if there are 2, it's a double-standard and those are always annoying. Now we all need to just ride it out until one side caves in or until the next generation of hi-cap comes which is probably more likely than either of these bull-headed sides admitting they were wrong.

TechnoDad I'm sure is interested in this one.

NDS-TV to Air Soon

Finally one for me. A video has surfaced of the upcoming Nintendo DS TV-Tuner card in action. I sure hope it works here in Europe!

By now I'm sure your coffee is either cold of finished and you ham sandwich needs a reheat. Personally I'm off to get another cup of coffee myself. There's a ton more to write about from the week but I just can't wait any longer to get to the bakery. I need my own Hot Ham and Rolls.

Good luck TechnoDad and SuperCook Mom at the Packers Game today!
