SGN Takes on News CTO and VP of Engineering

SGN, the leading social gaming company, today announced the appointment of Eric Huynh as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering.  Eric brings extensive global experience from his previous job at Vivendi Games (now Activision / Blizzard), number one in video games, to help propel SGN’s progressive social gaming strategy to new platforms and markets. Eric was Founding CTO of Gameloft, the industry’s biggest mobile gaming company, and the founding CTO of Ubisoft, one of the largest gaming companies globally.

SGN is the leading social gaming company on both iPhone and Facebook platforms with over nine million users on the iPhone alone.  In this newly established position, Huynh is responsible for overseeing product development and research of games across mobile and social networking platforms, as well as defining technical standards, quality assurance and delivery protocols to drive the accelerated production of high quality SGN games.

Huynh joins SGN from Vivendi Games where he served as CTO of Worldwide Studios for Vivendi Games Mobile (“VG Mobile”). Prior to joining Vivendi Games, Huynh served as CTO of Coktel Studio, a French video game developer and before that was CTO at Gameloft where his role was instrumental in the successful creation of the mobile games division of Ubisoft along the side of its founder. Previously, Huynh held the position of Worldwide CTO at Ubisoft, where he lead 300 programmers over nine Ubisoft subsidiaries and had a key role in setting-up studios in Paris, Montreal, Shanghai, Beijing, Barcelona, Bucharest, Casablanca, Milan, Tokyo and San Francisco. Huynh holds an engineering degree from Université Paris-Sud-Orsay and graduated at the top of his class.
