Techland has recently reported their plans to extend the longevity of its first-person-action game with zombies named Dying Light, by launching a new difficulty mode.

Hard mode is part of a series of free expansions for the game, and its purpose is to add more difficult nighttime scenarios, and more challenging opponents. Besides, players will have fewer resources and supplies to scavenge. Because of the increased difficulty level of the game, players will appreciate staying hidden and keeping quiet.

"A few gamers have already finished Dying Light and are asking for more. So we're going to give our community a new challenge that will put everything they learned in the game to the test. Hard Mode is exactly that," the producer of Dying Light, Tymon Smektala said. "We're aiming to have it out around the start of March, if not sooner. Depends on how brutal we wanna make this on people."

Apart from the upcoming hard mode, the March update of Dying Light will feature a host of new goodies for players, including character outfits and improvements. The new update will be available for free on the PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Polish developer Techland also reported their plans to launch official modding tools for PC, and a series of paid DLC.

In case you can't wait for the hard update next month, you can download the new mod for PC which makes the game more difficult.
