In the latest FAQ regarding the new racing game Project Cars, the developer Slightly Mad Studios announced the resolution and frame rate details of the upcoming title.

Details are provided bellow:

  • Up to 12K resolution on PC (frame rate depends on PC hardware)
  • 1080p, 60 frames per second on PS4
  • 900p, 60 frames per second on Xbox One

Last year, Slightly Mad reported that the developer's purpose was both - the PS4 and Xbox One editions of Project Cars, to run at 1080p. However, it looks like Slightly Mad was not able to achieve it with the latest console of Microsoft.

The resolution and frame rate details of the Wii U edition of Project Cars will be revealed later.

In addition, Slightly Mad reported that Project Cars will not include a split-screen mode.

"In order to achieve the target of 60 frames per second, there is no split-screen mode," the developer said.

On the question why Project Cars will not be launched to PS3 and Xbox One, Slightly Mad replied that those platforms' technical specifications are not good enough to deliver a proper version of the game.

The release of Project Cars has been delayed three times so far, and presently it is planned to launch to PS4, Xbox One, and PC in the middle of the next month.

The launch date for the Wii U version has not been reported yet.
