Xbox One Controller With a New Headphone Jack

There is a change in the design of the Xbox One controller. Although the modification is not a major one, is a really important one. The new controller comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the bottom.

Although the change may not seem really big, it is something players wished for a long time. Before this improvement takes place, players will not able to use standard headphones with the device. This is due to the fact that on the current version of the controller there is no headphone jack and the only way to use your headphones is to buy an adapter. Just for reference, the adapter costs around US$25. After the change is introduced, the new owners will not need to use an adapter any more. It is expected that the modifications will be seen on controllers released after June this year.

However, it is still not clear if the change will also provide additional features to its users, such as volume and mute buttons. These controls were available with the stereo headphone adapter.

All of the arrangements about the improvements were disclosed by the company in an article. It is expected that the official presentation of the new console will be at the E3 conference. The date of the conference is expected to be June 15th. Still, the announcement of the new design of the console is not official and we can only guess whether or not we will see it at the upcoming event. “We’re gearing up for an exciting E3 where we’ll showcase more games and experiences. We have nothing further to share at this time,” is only what Microsoft says for now.

As for the other components of the console, there seems to be no change to them.
